I forgot to mention another characteristic of domestic Chinese projects—not all of them have this trait, but some display it very obviously.
They like to dump the price during East Japan time daytime and pump it in the evening, primarily harvesting retail investors from China. They pump the price for their foreign backers, which is essentially currying favor with foreigners while harvesting Chinese investors. It's understandable, but it leaves a bad taste. Domestic project teams seem arrogant domestically but submissive internationally. It might be a case of servility ingrained too deeply to change in the short term.
