Foresight News reports that, according to The Information, DeepSeek will release a new generation flagship AI model DeepSeek V4 in February, which possesses powerful programming capabilities. V4 is the latest version following DeepSeek’s V3 model released in December 2024. The report cites two insiders who say that internal preliminary testing at DeepSeek indicates that V4 surpasses other top models currently on the market, such as Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s GPT series, in programming ability. DeepSeek plans to release the V4 version around the Chinese New Year in 2025, with the release schedule subject to adjustments based on actual circumstances.
