Bitwise will acquire the crypto staking service provider Chorus One to expand its yield-oriented product portfolio

ChainCatcher Message: Crypto asset management firm Bitwise Asset Management has agreed to acquire institutional staking service provider Chorus One. The two parties have confirmed the deal, but the specific acquisition amount has not been disclosed. Chorus One primarily provides institutional staking services for decentralized networks, and according to its official website, the current managed staking assets amount to approximately $2.2 billion.

Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley stated that for clients holding spot cryptocurrencies, staking is “one of the most attractive growth opportunities.” The report pointed out that the M&A volume in the crypto industry in 2025 reached a record high, with total transactions amounting to about $37 billion, indicating a clear trend of industry consolidation. Chorus One CEO Brian Fabian Crain also said that staking business is more suitable for integration into larger platform ecosystems.
