On April 17 at a Turning Point event in Arizona, President Trump stated he had instructed U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to begin releasing government documents related to UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena. “This process is well underway and we found many very interesting documents,” Trump said. The website change has fueled conspiracy theories that the site could be used to host these files, with Reddit users discussing the possibility of an imminent “deployment.”
On April 16, Trump also addressed concerns about disappeared scientists, telling reporters he hoped the disappearances were “random” and promised an investigation within “the next week and a half.” It remains unclear whether the missing scientists are connected to the UFO file release.
