Many beginners in the crypto world often imagine this scene: investing 10,000 yuan, ignoring everything else, and ten years later, it skyrockets to one million, then selling off casually.

How harsh is reality hitting back? Once you understand, you'll know.

On the second day after entering, only 5,000 yuan remains from the original 10,000. That night, you toss and turn, unable to sleep, filled with images of losing money. Every subsequent late night follows the same routine—waking up to pee, half-asleep, opening the market app.

After a whole year of fluctuation between 1,000 and 6,000, you're exhausted and out of patience. Finally, you grit your teeth and decide: as long as it rises to 9,000, I’ll cut my losses and run, never touching this thing again.

Suddenly, a bull market arrives, and the price jumps to 8,500. You recall all those ups and downs, and confidently think: it will definitely drop back to 6,000, so I need to sell quickly to buy the dip. You act on it, and indeed, make a small profit.

But the market doesn’t follow your script. The price keeps climbing—8,500, 9,000, and soaring further. You panic, afraid of missing the turnaround, and stubbornly chase in at 9,000. Your position seems to have recovered, but the number of coins in your hand has shrunk by more than half.

Then the price pulls back to 7,000, and you start to feel lost. Watching it climb to 12,000, you barely realize a profit. When you do the math, your annual return is only 20%, and you comfort yourself that it’s not bad.

This is the real story for most newbies: going all-in, full position, blindly cutting losses, chasing rallies, and selling in panic. After going through these cycles, they never make a real impact. Many of the pitfalls in the crypto world are actually self-inflicted.

I'm just saying, chasing gains and selling losses is really a terminal illness; every time, it's the same approach.

Oh no, isn't this just a replica of last year? My sleep has been completely messed up.

This is me. I always think I've understood, but I still get cut again.

It's the same old script again, and I'm already tired of hearing it.

Oh no, isn't that talking about me? Checking the K-line in the middle of the night has become a habit.
