Abstract generation in progress

J.B. Hunt Transport Services reports that despite a 30% increase in fuel prices due to the Iran conflict, shippers are not yet converting freight from truckload to intermodal. The company noted that intermodal currently offers significant cost savings over truckload, and despite tight trucking capacity, customers are maintaining lean inventories. J.B. Hunt’s intermodal unit has seen margin improvement, and the company is focused on network balance and improving revenue quality ahead of its first-quarter results on April 15.
