According to Japan’s Kyodo News on the 21st, Iranian Foreign Minister Alireza Enayati said that Iran hopes to end the war thoroughly, comprehensively, and permanently, rather than just a temporary ceasefire.

On the 20th, Enayati told Kyodo News in a phone interview that the attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran are illegal and unjustified acts of aggression, and he hopes the whole world will unite to oppose them. Several countries have begun to push for a ceasefire, but Iran is only considering a solution that ends the war entirely. Iran does not accept a temporary ceasefire but demands a complete end to the war, including ensuring Iran is no longer attacked and compensation for the damages Iran has suffered.

Enayati also said he does not believe the United States is prepared for negotiations.

The report also stated that Enayati expressed willingness to negotiate with Japan and allow Japanese ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, a key energy transportation route.
