OVERTAKE is a peer-to-peer trading platform specifically designed for gamers, aiming to put accounts, characters, and items from Web2 games on the blockchain as verifiable digital assets. The platform is deployed on the Sui blockchain, leveraging its efficiency and low transaction fees to make the trading experience closer to traditional game stores while maintaining the advantages of transparency and immutability on the chain.
In OVERTAKE, the funds and assets of buyers and sellers are held in a multi-signature smart contract, which is typically released only after being jointly signed and confirmed by the buyer, seller, and the platform. This mechanism significantly reduces the trust risk of the traditional “transfer funds before delivery” model, allowing players to no longer rely on screenshots or intermediaries, as the transaction process is automatically executed by the contract and recorded on the blockchain.
TAKE is the core Token of the OVERTAKE ecosystem, which can be used to pay fees, participate in platform governance, and earn rewards. In the future, multiple games such as Somnis: Rumble Rush, Golden Guardians, The Red One: Occultation, etc., plan to incorporate TAKE into their in-game economy as a cross-game universal value carrier, enhancing the Token’s depth of use in real-world scenarios.
The project has completed financing at the level of millions of dollars, with a portion of the Token allocation reserved for community airdrops, liquidity incentives, and long-term development. TAKE adopts a time-locking and reward distribution mechanism to encourage long-term participation rather than short-term speculation. With more games and assets being integrated, platform trading volume and transaction fee income are expected to become important sources supporting Token value.
OVERTAKE is still in the early stages of expansion, facing risks such as regulatory policies, technical security, and liquidity fluctuations. If it cannot continuously attract game developers and players, the demand for tokens may fall short of expectations. However, if it successfully brings a large number of Web2 game assets on-chain and expands into cross-chain and DeFi scenarios, it will have the opportunity to achieve a key position in the gaming economy and assetization field.
