Gate News reports that on March 11, Huawei Terminal BG CEO He Gang showcased the beta version of Xiaoyi Claw, based on HarmonyOS, on Weibo today. Xiaoyi Claw integrates the OpenClaw AI capabilities into the HarmonyOS Xiaoyi Assistant. After switching to Claw mode, it can handle office tasks such as document editing, creating PowerPoint presentations, and auto-replying to emails. It supports multi-device collaboration across smartphones, tablets, and PCs, with four preset initial personalities: “Information Hunter,” “Confidant,” and two others. He Gang said, “I’ve used it for a few days, and I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s quite useful and helps me do a lot of things.” Huawei customer service responded to users that this feature is currently in limited testing, with no official launch date set. Previously, on March 6, Xiaomi launched China’s first mobile agent product, Xiaomi Miclaw, built on the MiMo large model. Huawei Xiaoyi Claw’s development indicates that domestic smartphone manufacturers’ AI assistants are moving from standalone applications to the operating system level.
