Gate News, March 12 — AI agent developer CoinFello has released an open-source skill called OpenClaw, allowing AI agents to securely connect to MetaMask and execute on-chain transactions without ever accessing user private keys. The skill is built on the MetaMask Smart Account Suite, utilizing ERC-4337 smart accounts and ERC-7710 delegation mechanisms. Users can grant AI agents the minimum permissions needed to perform specific tasks, effectively mitigating the common prompt injection attack risks faced by existing AI wallet agents. CoinFello’s CTO Brett Cleary stated, “If we want agents to meaningfully participate in on-chain economies, we need a security model better than simply handing over private keys.” Supported functions include ERC-20 token swaps, cross-EVM chain bridging, NFT interactions, staking, lending, and multi-step transaction strategies, all triggered by natural language commands. The skill is released under the MIT License.
