Spielberg Opposes AI Replacing Creative Talent, States He Has Not Used AI Technology in Any Films

Gate News Report, March 16 — Hollywood director Steven Spielberg stated that while AI can play a role in various fields, “I do not support it if it replaces creative individuals.” He revealed that although he directed the film A.I. Artificial Intelligence, he has not used artificial intelligence technology in any of his movies, and his screenwriting team is “full,” with no positions replaced by AI. According to Decrypt, film and television companies, including Netflix, are currently experimenting with generative AI tools for visual effects or material editing, while facing copyright disputes. Last month, AMC Theatres even prevented an AI-produced short film from being screened in theaters, indicating that industry and audience acceptance of AI is still in the exploratory stage.
