World Launches AgentKit for CEX x402 Protocol, Supporting AI Agent Identity Verification

Gate News Report, March 17 — Web3 identity verification project World, co-founded by Sam Altman, announced the release of developer tools AgentKit for x402, an intelligent payment protocol under a certain CEX. Currently available in beta, AgentKit allows users verified through World to delegate their World ID authorization to AI agents, enabling these agents to prove the existence of a real human behind them while interacting with websites and platforms, all while protecting privacy. World ID is a mechanism previously introduced by World that allows users to cryptographically prove their unique human identity. Erik Reppel, head of developer platform engineering at the CEX and founder of x402, stated that payment addresses the “how” of AI agent commerce, while identity addresses the “who” involved. Combining the two provides developers with a complete trust system.
