The French Financial Markets Authority reported that nearly one-third of cryptocurrency companies without an EU license have not yet informed regulators of their licensing application plans. To date, out of 90 registered companies that have not obtained MiCA approval, only 30% have applied for a license, 40% have explicitly stated they will not apply, and the remaining 30% have not responded. The regulatory transition period will end on June 30, and ESMA has required unauthorized companies to develop exit plans.
