[Trump Media Technology Group to Launch Crypto Assets ETF]
Trump Media & Technology Group ( DJT.O ) announced on Thursday that its Truth Social Bitcoin ETF will directly hold Bitcoin, aiming to provide investors with shares that reflect the price performance of Bitcoin. According to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Crypto Assets will serve as the exclusive Bitcoin custodian, primary executing agent, and liquidity provider for the ETF.
Trump Media & Technology Group, which operates the social media platform Truth Social under Trump, announced last month that it would raise approximately $2.5 billion from institutional investors to purchase Bitcoin, and plans to use this funding to create a vault for this Crypto Asset. Trump Media & Technology Group CEO Nunes stated at the time: "We view Bitcoin as the ultimate tool for financial freedom, and now Trump Media will make Crypto Assets an important part of our portfolio."
