Cosmos Hub releases Gaia v25 upgrade proposal to simplify future development

Gate News bot message, Cosmos Hub posted on X that the Gaia v25 upgrade proposal has been published on the governance forum. This upgrade will migrate Gaia from its forked version of the Cosmos SDK to the mainline Cosmos SDK. At the same time, the upgrade will also update from SDK v0.50 to v0.53.

This upgrade will significantly reduce technical debt and simplify future development.

Gaia v25.0.0 is a major version that will follow the standard governance process for the Cosmos Hub software upgrade. The voting period is 1 week.
