Traders pointed out that concerns over AI revenues and profits resurfaced, and the fall of Crypto Assets to a low point since April also impacted the stock market. Chris Murphy, co-head of derivatives strategy at Susquehanna International, stated that investors are starting to question the driving factors for the year-end rally, with CTA Positions still weak, which could trigger the automatic Close Position mechanism of quantitative funds, leading to additional dumping.
