The past prediction markets always had a major flaw: as long as the question contained a bit of "explanatory component", it would immediately crash on-chain.
For example: "Which is the most influential AI product this year?"
Traditional chains will be directly confused:
How is influence defined? Who evaluates it? Does news volume count? Should public sentiment be included?
——Questions of this kind that involve "context + subjective judgment" cannot provide you with a credible answer on-chain.
But I suddenly realized recently:
If such a topic were moved to @GenLayer, it would be a completely different style.
Because it is not a mechanical oracle, but an intelligent consensus layer with "understanding capabilities":
AI validators will independently read materials, gather data, understand the context, and then reason independently under an optimistic democratic mechanism, finally aggregating into an answer that the majority considers "reasonable."
In other words, it is not about guessing in the world of bits, but about truly interpreting the complexities of the real world.
What does this mean?
This means that the prediction market can now handle categories that were previously completely impossible:
✨ Narrative Prediction Market: Which narrative will first enter the mainstream investment circle?
✨ Emotion Prediction Market: Will the "netizen sentiment" of a certain product rise or fall in the coming week?
✨ Opinion-driven prediction market: Will the regulatory draft be seen by the public as "lenient"?
✨ Contextual event prediction: Which side will the "mainstream explanation" of a controversial video event ultimately lean towards?
These could not be collected on-chain in the past, nor could they be judged on-chain.
And GenLayer directly transforms it from "impossible" to "verifiable."
You can even understand it as:
The prediction market has upgraded from "only being able to bet on numbers" to "being able to bet on explanations, narratives, emotions, and the direction of consensus."
If traditional prediction markets are like solving math problems,
The prediction market driven by GenLayer is the first time that on-chain has begun to "read, understand, judge, and interpret."
To be honest, this is the true prediction that aligns with the human world.
It is also one of the most promising new tracks I have seen.
