So you still don't understand trading. The market maker only drops after they've mostly squeezed out the short sellers. Now, no one is going long anymore. If the market maker can't unload their positions, it will just stay sideways. When the longs enter, it will be a decisive death cross. If the continuous influx is from the short sellers, they'll keep pushing it up. Only when you get liquidated can they make money.
