The Swiss major financial group UBS is considering providing cryptocurrency trading services for ultra-high-net-worth clients.

According to reports, UBS is evaluating plans to offer Bitcoin(BTC) and Ethereum(ETH) trading to Swiss private banking clients, with potential expansion to the Asia-Pacific region and the United States.

Although UBS has not officially confirmed this, the company is conducting multiple blockchain technology application experiments. UBS is advancing the uMINT project, which tokenizes dollar money market funds on the Ethereum network; at the same time, it is collaborating with SWIFT and Chainlink to test blockchain-based fund settlement.

UBS has also partnered with Ant International to conduct a real-time cross-border payment pilot project based on tokenized deposits in Singapore.
