According to reports, Ronghui Gu said in an interview: “Although there are no specific plans at the moment, IPO is indeed a goal we are pursuing.” Ronghui Gu also serves as an associate professor of computer science at Columbia University. The interview was conducted during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Founded in 2018, CertiK is headquartered in New York, USA. Its main business involves smart contract security audits for cryptocurrency projects and blockchain platforms. The company currently has over 5,000 clients, and the assets secured by audited code amount to $600 billion.

Previously, in 2022, CertiK raised $88 million in a Series B funding round, with a valuation estimated at $2 billion.

Ronghui Gu stated that since few companies in the Web3 infrastructure space are pursuing going public, CertiK’s IPO could become a industry turning point. He emphasized that becoming the first cybersecurity company in Web3 to go public is the company’s goal.

Want to go public again? These Web3 folks really have big dreams.

---

CertiK is going for an IPO... now traditional financial institutions are probably scared of audit firms.

---

But honestly, being able to turn an audit firm into a publicly listed company shows there is indeed a huge market demand.

---

The compliance path is so difficult, yet they still dare to shout IPO... I think it's unlikely.

---

Longhui Valley teaches while doing IPOs; this pace is impressive.

---

The first publicly listed cybersecurity company in Web3? Don't tell me it's another case of a flash in the pan.

---

CertiK has audited so many projects, yet it hasn't gone public itself... is that ironic?

CertiK is going public? Now the auditing industry is also competing to go public, as Web3 companies are always thinking, "I also want to go to Nasdaq."

Here we go again, another one about to go public. This time it's the auditing firm? To be honest, CertiK has been quite prominent these past two years, but daring to shout IPO without a "concrete plan" is a bit... Do you believe it? I definitely don't.

Is it really happening this time? CertiK is going public... By the way, how much is an auditing company's IPO worth?
