Abstract generation in progress

The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is seeking views on commitments from Apple and Google to improve app store practices. These commitments aim to deliver greater certainty, transparency, and fairness for UK businesses dependent on app stores, boosting the UK’s app economy and fintech sector. The proposals follow the designation of Apple and Google’s mobile platforms as having strategic market status in October 2025, which subjects them to pro-competition rules.
