The biggest fear in this circle is getting scammed. Here's a summary of common scams:
1. Inducing others to trade on shady platforms. In reality, these platforms are just customer loss platforms. The scammers are usually u merchants (not C2C), strangers on the platform. The usual reason given is high rebates, saying "Let me bring you here to trade," and sending you screenshots of large profits from shady platforms. Once you see these profit screenshots, you should realize they are scammers.
2. Promoting a token that is about to be launched with exaggerated multipliers,诱导你买那个币. That token isn't launched from a launchpad; it's not a pump like 4444, GateFun, or similar. It’s created by the scammer themselves. You can create a token with just 30 USDT, with all permissions controlled by the creator. You need to add a liquidity pool to this token, then buy into it. Once you do, they remove the pool, and your money is gone.
3. Ponzi schemes. These usually claim to generate 1% daily returns, which is the most obvious scam. They also require recruiting others to climb tiers. This type of scam is easy to spot but beginners often can't see it. Features include promising that if you invest one Ethereum, you can earn 0.05 ETH daily, and after 20 days, you'll break even. They also say you can keep earning 0.05 ETH daily afterward, and you can earn 10% of the referral commissions. Usually, a Ponzi scheme can't last more than 20 days. If you break even, even your initial investments are just for the early investors. Ponzi schemes should be avoided at all costs. Anyone promoting these should be reported to the authorities immediately. These people are the worst.
Summary: If someone promises huge profits but isn't actually earning themselves and just wants to get your money, they are out to scam you.
