Unbelievable! The big boss behind the scam scheme was drained of 15 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin by the US, now he's fighting back against America: Money isn't stolen!
This plot is more outrageous than a TV drama! Known as the "Godfather" of Southeast Asia's scam schemes, Chen Zhi was first stripped of his nationality in Cambodia and deported back to China, then he staged a "desperate counterattack" in a US court. His lawyer slammed the table: You Americans seized 12.7 million $BTC (15 billion dollars) of my Bitcoin, where's the evidence?
1. The US: You're the scam boss, the money is ill-gotten!
Last year, the US Department of Justice took direct action, labeling Chen Zhi as the head of Asia's largest scam empire, claiming he ran scam parks in Cambodia, earning $30 million daily from "pig-butchering" schemes, and involved in forced labor, money laundering, buying private jets, yachts, and Picasso paintings—utterly arrogant.
Then they seized 12,727,100 Bitcoin from him, worth $15 billion at the time, setting the largest crypto forfeiture record in US history, dubbed the "Pig-butchering Blackout."
2. Chen Zhi's lawyer: You're talking nonsense! The money was stolen by hackers, not obtained through scams!
Chen Zhi's lawyer directly challenged, presenting two major "logical fallacies," sticking to a firm denial:
1. No evidence! You say I run scam parks, but it's all just descriptions of the Cambodian environment, with no concrete proof that these Bitcoins were obtained through fraud. The timeline doesn't match!
2. The money was gone long ago! These coins were stolen by hackers in 2020, sat in the wallet for four years, and have nothing to do with scams. Why are you seizing them, US?
Simply put: I can admit defeat and return to China for trial, but these 15 billion Bitcoins must be returned to me!
3. Both people and assets lost? The boss's current situation is dire
• Person: Lost nationality in Cambodia in January, deported directly to China, awaiting imprisonment
• Money: US seized 15 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin, and assets worth over $1 billion frozen in the US, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea. The UK also confiscated 19 luxury houses.
• Minions: Scam parks dismantled, thousands of kidnapped workers on the streets, at risk of being re-sold at any time, a total collapse of the operation.
Now, just waiting for the court's verdict to see who the 15 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin belongs to! It’s probably more difficult than climbing to heaven to get the money out of the US! #比特币 $BTC
