$RIVER I ran into an old friend yesterday.

He said he finally figured something out recently.
I asked him what he figured out.
He said he used to stare at the charts every day, from morning until late night, and his eyes were nearly ruined, but his account kept losing money.
Then he got into a relationship and didn't have time to watch the charts. He opened the app less than five times in a month.
As a result, he actually started making money.
I laughed after hearing this, but it's not funny at all.
Chart watching is the easiest habit to make you lose money.
Every time the market moves, people panic.
Go up a little and you want to chase,
Drop a little and you want to cut losses,
Sideways movement and you can't resist opening a position.
Your original plan disappears the more you watch.
Many people think they lost because of poor technique, but actually they lost because of emotions.
You can think back:
How many positions did you open because you couldn't resist?
Chasing highs and getting trapped, bottom fishing but buying halfway up, and it shoots up right after you sell.
Most of these aren't strategy issues—they're impulse trades from chart watching.
Later I slowly discovered a problem:
You're not really watching the market, you're watching your own emotions.
What you should really be looking at isn't the K-line, it's yourself.
When do you tend to act on impulse,
When do you tend to panic,
When do you know you shouldn't place a trade but click confirm anyway.
I have a habit now:
Review every week and pick out all the emotional trades.
You'll find that losing money isn't really a technical problem, it's that you can't keep your hands off.
There's also a very simple method:
👉 Before placing a trade, stand up and take a walk first.
If you still want to do it after the walk, then enter.
That one walk can help you avoid half of your garbage trades.
Remember this:
The market is always there, opportunities will always exist.
But your capital won't give you unlimited chances.
People who stare at charts don't make money.
Only those who can control themselves survive.
