Chinese Enterprises Going Overseas See 250% Growth in Amazon Cloud Compliance Demands | Going Global·Technology
Caixin: “By 2025, the compliance requirements from Chinese outbound companies for AWS (Amazon Web Services) have increased by 250%,” said Shen Tao, General Manager of Industry Clusters at AWS China, during the AWS Outbound Conference on March 18. Compliance and security have become core issues in companies’ overseas expansion. Looking ahead to 2026, Chinese companies going abroad will feature high added value, a focus on compliance, strong synergy effects, and deep localization.
Shen Tao pointed out that the current logic of competition for companies going overseas has changed. It has shifted from early-stage competition based on price and products to a comprehensive contest involving technological innovation, brand building, full-chain integration, and ecosystem development, making competition more intense. By expanding into new energy, AI, smart devices, and other fields, Chinese companies now possess advanced technology and high-end product export capabilities, marking a move into a high value-added phase of overseas expansion.
