A real-life example: A woman graduated from a 211 university, worked for three years, and started a long-distance online relationship with a boy from another city. She insisted on quitting the stable state-owned enterprise job her parents arranged for her in the county and followed that boy to a big city to pursue their dreams. Her parents were desperate, practically begging her, but she wouldn't listen. Her father became so upset he was hospitalized. Despite this, she resigned and ran off with the guy. Then her parents sold the house and the storefront, and disappeared somewhere unknown. A year later, the woman came back, saying the man was incompetent and even hit her.
