As the silver in the encryption currency, altcoin achieved a victory of (BTC) compared to Bitcoin in February, and the data indicates that the price may fall in the short term.
Based on on-chain data and analysis platform Santiment's assessment, Litecoin has shown strong performance against Bitcoin with (LTC). The data shows that Litecoin has risen by 25% against Bitcoin in February. Although this indicates a renewed interest in Litecoin among investors, the platform warns that the price may experience a pullback. In the past 24 hours, the number of active addresses has increased significantly, causing concerns about the market being overly optimistic.
According to Santiment, this sudden surge, excessive excitement of investors usually leads to a correction. Litecoin has recently outperformed Bitcoin, making it one of the prominent alternative coins.#CryptoObservers
According to data provided by Santiment, since February 1, the number of active Litecoin addresses has exceeded 445,000 for the first time. At the same time, positive social media comments about Litecoin have doubled, reaching the level of negative comments for the first time since February 10. This indicates that the market sentiment is overly positive, and investor enthusiasm may trigger a correction.
Although Litecoin is often overshadowed by Bitcoin, it can sometimes prove itself. In the market, BTC is often seen as the "digital gold," while LTC is often referred to as the "silver," because it usually has faster and cheaper transactions. The recent price increase once again highlights the importance of Litecoin in the market. However, given the overly optimistic investor behavior and the sudden increase in active addresses, some adjustments are inevitably expected in the short term.
