A seminar on digital currencies in the White House circle of Trump:
While President Donald Trump is preparing to host the White House's first digital currency summit on March 7, the industry is closely watching to see who will be invited.
A round table set to take place between 18:30 and 22:30 GMT is expected to attract more than 25 participants, including members of the 'Digital Assets Executive Working Group,' according to Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett.
On Wednesday morning, Terrett reported that there were 11 executives from digital currency families and 2 representatives from the White House confirming their attendance.
"It's unclear at this point who else besides Bo Hines and David Sacks will join, but if you look back at Trump's instructions, the government team also includes Treasury Secretary Scott Base, Commerce Secretary Howard Latnick, the highest rate lawyer Pam Bondi, SEC Chairman, CFTC Chairman, and others." Tere Reter
Although not on Terrett's list, Ripple's top executive, Brad Garlinghouse, was recommended to have him in the post on March 2, after which Sachs, the digital currency officer of Trump, announced a seminar on March 1.
"I will continue to support it while I'm in Washington in the last week of this week," Garlinghouse wrote
According to Terrett, the invitation from Trump was sent via email to participants on the afternoon of March 4th, meaning that Garlinghouse was one of the first executives to receive an advance invitation.
The translation of the event larger than this is planned for those who are not invited.
"A bigger welcome, only for invited guests, is planning to cross the street from the residence of the government to those who are not invited to the roundtable meeting," Mr. Tarett added that the plan is not yet complete and things may change.
While discussions about the meeting are still ongoing, the crypto community is calling for the inclusion of other prominent figures in the industry such as ARK Invest founder, Cathie Wood, Ethereum co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, Circle co-founder, Jeremy Allaire, Tether's Chief Officer, Paolo Ardoino, Cardano founder, Charles Hoskinson, and Solana founder, Anatoly Yakovenko.
