Day Fifty-Four · The Shadow at Noon
12:03 PM, the sun hangs straight overhead.
Standing downstairs waiting for a friend, I look down and see my own shadow—shrunken into a tiny bundle, clinging tightly to my feet, like a small crouching animal. I step on it, it dodges, I step again, it dodges again, I can never quite catch it.
Suddenly I remember my favorite childhood game of shadow-stepping. A few kids running wildly on the playground, stepping on yours, you stepping on mine, whoever's shadow gets stepped on loses. Back then I didn't understand—how could you step on a shadow? It was just where

Day 53 · Swallows
Beneath the eaves downstairs, there lives a nest of swallows.
Every morning at half past five, they start chirping on time. Chirp chirp chirp—not a piercing noise, but fine, delicate chatter, like a family discussing where to catch insects today.
Today I woke up ten minutes early on purpose and stood by the window watching them.
The parent swallow flies out first, circles through the sky, and returns. Then it flies out again with the young swallows—one, two, three—lined up in a row, disappearing beyond the building.
The fluttering sound of their wings travels far through the

Day 52 · Dewdrops
At 6:30 AM, on the lawn of the company garden, every leaf is topped with a dewdrop.
Small, round, and glimmering. When there's wind, they sway gently back and forth, but don't fall, as if playing games with the leaves.
Squatting down to look, the dewdrops reflect the sky. A cloud happens to drift by, captured inside that tiny water droplet, then drifts away. Then another cloud, drifting away again.
Suddenly it occurs to me that dewdrops actually exist for a very short time.
Once the sun comes out, they're gone.
Some last only an hour or two, while the longest barely make it t

Day 51 · Listening to Rain
It rained all day long.
Yesterday it was fine, tapping on the glass like someone gently scratching with their nails.
This morning it got heavier, splashing loudly, pounding on the awning of the balcony.
Around noon it lightened again, pitter-pattering softly, like telling a very, very long story.
I just listened like this all day.
I remember being annoyed by rain in the past.
Going out was inconvenient, clothes wouldn't dry.
Every time it rained I'd feel anxious, always thinking I might miss out, always wanting to open the app and check.
Today for some reason, I didn

Day 50 · Halfway
The mint on the windowsill has grown new leaves again.
I remember on the first day when I was writing these words, I casually snapped off a branch and put it in water. At that time, I thought, if I could keep it alive for fifty days, it would prove that some things don't need much effort to survive.
Now it has really grown roots, thin and white, drifting in the water.
Day 50. Halfway.
Looking back at the words I've written over these fifty days:
Sometimes I write on airplanes, the person next to me watching movies, while I write about the relationship between K-lines and Zhuan

Day 49
The magnolia flowers in the courtyard downstairs have bloomed.
When I passed by last month, they were still bare branches, like ellipses stretching toward the sky. No one paid attention to them, not even birds wanted to perch.
Two days ago, a little white appeared, like a brush tip dipped in ink, lightly dotting the branches.
Today, they've already opened halfway, the petals thick and fleshy, swaying gently in the wind.
Just two weeks between.
Suddenly remembered when I first entered the circle.
Saw others double their money in a day, couldn't sleep from anxiety;
Saw others show off the

Day 48
8 AM, opened the computer.
Walked to the window, and just happened to see the sun no longer glaring—like a cooked egg yolk, soft and hanging gently at the horizon. The clouds were tinted orange-red, layers upon layers, like ocean waves, yet also like cotton candy.
Weekend, most people in this city are resting at home.
I looked at this quiet moment.
99+ messages in my phone, 99+ discussions in group chats, 99+ fluctuations on the trading software.
Afraid of missing out, afraid of falling behind, afraid that if I don't watch the charts for one second, they'll skyrocket the next.
But stand

漲的時候,能不能不飄;
跌的時候,能不能不慌;

Day 46 · In the Blank Spaces, There Are Landscapes
I was reading a magazine when I came across a page with just one image: a sea, a boat, and the rest was sky. The title was written in the corner: "In the blank spaces, there are landscapes."
Suddenly, I felt this phrase was meant for crypto traders.
Our screens are too full.
Full with new prices every minute, full trying to catch every point, full afraid of missing any candlestick.
But life isn't like this.
Life needs blank spaces.
Those times not watching the charts are not waste, they are breathing.
Those days in cash position are not missin
