I forgot to mention one more characteristic of Chinese projects. Not all Chinese projects have this feature, but it's quite pronounced in this regard.
They like to dump during daytime Eastern Time and pump during nighttime, primarily harvesting from Chinese investors to pump the price for their foreign backers. This is essentially currying favor with Westerners while harvesting Chinese people. It's normal practice, but it leaves a bitter taste. Chinese project teams seem to throw their weight around internally but act timidly externally—perhaps the servile mentality is too deeply ingrained to change quickly.
