The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has formally classified 16 assets as digital commodities rather than securities in its new crypto asset classification framework.
The assets include: XRP, APT, AVAX, DOGE, SOL, ADA, BCH, ETH, HBAR, ALGO, LTC, DOT, SHIB, XLM, XTZ, LINK
This means these 16 tokens, going forward as commodities, can be traded on various exchanges and will not be delisted due to SEC investigations. BUSD in 2023 was delisted due to SEC investigation, so these tokens are now compliant and no longer face the risk of being delisted and losing circulation. Institutional funds can now include these tokens in their investment portfolios.
Finally, there's no more ambiguous and vague definitions. Being classified as a commodity proves it has value, though the exact value is unknown—at least it recognizes these are valuable commodities. #Gate广场AI测评官
