Don't Get Harvested by Trends

I've seen too many people chasing trends and becoming retail investors over the past two years. Short videos boom, so they do short videos. The metaverse heats up, so they jump into the metaverse. AI fires up, so they go all-in on AI. What's the result? Nothing gets accomplished.

People who actually make money are grinding away in one field. Because only deep cultivation can build moats, only then can you continue to profit in the next cycle.

There's one more thing that's especially important: don't touch projects that require recruiting people. If you make money, it's yours. If you lose money, you lose friends. Your reputation is worth far more than money.

Of course, you should still experience new things when they emerge, otherwise your knowledge will fall behind. But experiencing is one thing—don't go all-in.
