Equinix has signed a 15-year virtual power purchase agreement (vPPA) with ENEOS Renewable Energy Corporation to power its Japanese data centers with renewable energy. This agreement secures 121 MW from the Sanda Mega Solar Power Plant, making it the largest vPPA in the Japanese data center sector. The deal aligns with Equinix’s goal to achieve 100 percent renewable energy for its operations in Japan and supports the nation’s energy transition.
