On March 15, Galaxy Research's head of research Alex Thorn stated that if the US crypto regulatory bill CLARITY Act fails to pass Senate Committee review by the end of April, the probability of its passage in 2026 will decline significantly. The bill needs to enter the full Senate voting agenda in early May. The current controversy surrounding stablecoin rewards is considered the main obstacle, but Thorn pointed out that even if this issue is resolved through compromise, other controversies may still arise regarding DeFi, developer protection, SEC authority, and ethics.
