Bybit Adopts FRS InvestPro for PRIIPs Compliance in Europe

Bybit has selected software from FRS InvestPro to support its obligations under the PRIIPs (Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products) regulation as crypto platforms expand their presence in regulated European markets. The agreement will see Bybit deploy the Invest|Pro platform to produce Key Information Documents, a requirement for firms offering packaged retail investment products to clients in the European Union.

Regulatory Documentation and Risk Modelling

The Invest|Pro system enables firms to generate PRIIPs Key Information Documents with structured outputs covering risk indicators, performance scenarios, and cost disclosures. These elements form the core of the regulatory framework, designed to standardize how retail investors assess investment products.

Financial Risk Solutions said the platform supports consistent document production across different asset classes, including more complex or non-traditional instruments. The use of automated modelling and standardized templates reduces operational overhead, particularly for firms managing large product catalogs.

Frank Carr, Chief Marketing Officer at Financial Risk Solutions, stated: “Supporting a firm that delivers alternative investment options to a global client base highlight Invest|Pro™’s ability to address PRIIPs requirements across innovative and non-traditional financial products, without compromising on transparency or regulatory rigor.”

Crypto Firms Move Deeper Into European Regulatory Frameworks

The decision reflects a broader shift among crypto exchanges toward alignment with European regulatory requirements as they introduce structured products or expand regulated offerings. PRIIPs compliance requires firms to present clear, comparable information to retail clients before investment, including scenario-based projections and detailed cost breakdowns.

Roland Gollenbeck, Managing Director at Bybit X, commented: “Selecting Invest|Pro™ reflects our commitment to maintaining high regulatory standards and transparency for our client’s. The solution provides the flexibility and analytical depth we need to support PRIIPs compliance as we expand our regulated product set in Europe.”

For crypto platforms, this often means integrating traditional financial risk frameworks into products that were previously outside standard disclosure regimes.

Operational Implications for Product Expansion

The adoption of PRIIPs infrastructure enables firms to scale product offerings within regulated environments without building internal compliance systems from scratch. Platforms such as Invest|Pro provide pre-configured methodologies for calculating risk metrics and performance scenarios, which are required under the regulation.

This reduces time to market for new instruments, particularly those targeting retail investors in the European Economic Area. The adoption also introduces a level of standardization that may affect how crypto-linked products are structured and presented, especially when compared with traditional financial instruments.
