Iran states that the US-Iran nuclear negotiations have been "extremely tense and serious" so far
Iran stated that the US and Iran are continuing nuclear negotiations in Switzerland, with the process being extremely tense and serious. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Bagheri, said during a break in negotiations, “We hope future discussions will focus on lifting sanctions and nuclear issues.” He added that the diplomats from both sides will resume talks from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM local time. Iran’s official media reported that some parts of the negotiations are direct consultations, indicating that the chief representatives from both sides have met face-to-face rather than communicating only through Omani officials. Iran’s English news television quoted Bagheri as saying that Iran will never allow any highly enriched uranium to be exported abroad.
