Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has issued a strong warning: if Kyiv does not resume oil supplies by Monday, Slovakia will instruct its companies to temporarily halt emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine.

According to RTHK, Prime Minister Fico spoke on social media over the weekend, expressing deep concern about the negative energy relationship Bratislava is facing. He emphasized that Ukraine’s actions have severely damaged Slovakia’s economy, including the long-standing suspension of natural gas supplies.

Fico stated that the annual losses caused by this negative energy relationship amount to 500 million euros. The recent halt in oil usage has further worsened the situation, adding additional difficulties for Bratislava.
