Japan's Sankei Shimbun newspaper and Fuji News Network jointly conducted a weekend survey revealing that Prime Minister Takashi's administration maintains robust public support, with a backing rate of 72.0%. This represents a 1.2 percentage point uptick compared to readings from late January, according to reporting by Ming Pao. Over the past five consecutive months, the Takashi cabinet has successfully preserved approval levels above the 70% threshold, demonstrating sustained confidence from Japanese voters. In contrast, the disapproval rate registered at 22.8%, marking a marginal 0.6 percentage point improvement from the prior polling period.
