Pampita defends herself against rumors of romance with Cochito López

In an unexpected turn of media events, Pampita responded to the rumors circulating about a supposed romance with race car driver Juan Manuel “Cochito” López. The Argentine model firmly denied any romantic connection with the athlete, while the main accuser also publicly addressed the situation to clear up the doubts raised by this story on social media and television programs.

The version that sparked the controversy

The rumors began during a TV broadcast when panelist Martín Salwe, on the show hosted by Yanina Latorre, recounted details of a supposed encounter between Pampita and López at an exclusive hotel in Punta del Este. According to his account, they shared a dinner in a hotel room during a stay at La Locanda. Salwe indicated that the model would have been alone in the seaside town for several days, without her family.

The panelist was even more specific, mentioning that Pampita had ordered “carpaccio and Bellini to the room” as part of this allegedly private meeting. These accusations immediately caused a stir in the media and on social networks, fueling speculation about a possible infidelity involving the model and her partner, polo player Martín Pepa.

Pampita’s strong response

As soon as she heard Salwe’s claims, Pampita quickly contacted Ángel de Brito’s program to categorically deny what had been said. The model responded decisively: “I have no communication with that person. I don’t know what his life is like, he’s not a friend I talk to, absolutely nothing.” Additionally, Pampita directly accused the journalist of spreading false information: “Salwe is lying. He doesn’t support his story; he’s making it up. It’s a lie.”

However, Salwe insisted on the truth of his version. In response, Pampita doubled down: “People can receive incorrect information, but if the person involved comes out and says it’s a lie, this has to end. I was with my son.” With this, the model made her position clear and aimed to protect both her honor and her relationship.

Cochito López’s confirmation

Minutes after Pampita’s statement, López responded. Through a voice message sent to Karina Iavícoli on the same channel’s LAM show, the race car driver was categorical in his denial: “It’s all a lie, I have no idea where they got this story from. I deny it 100%.” López concluded firmly: “There’s nothing to this story they made up.”

His intervention reaffirmed Pampita’s statements and dismissed any possibility of the accusations being true.

Pampita defends her relationship and reputation

During her TV appearance, Pampita took the opportunity to reinforce her bond with Pepa, emphasizing that they are “doing very well” and spent “the whole summer” together when they rented a house in José Ignacio. The model was clear about her personality: “I’m very happy with my boyfriend. And I’m not an unfaithful person, I’m not a hysterical person, I don’t like to play with anything. I’m very straightforward, just like I want others to be with me. I’m not someone who provokes jealousy or acts cute.”

Furthermore, Pampita expressed her willingness to take Salwe to court if he continues spreading false information. “If someone dares to lie, I will take legal action to the fullest extent because I don’t like my current relationship to be tarnished,” she declared. She reiterated the importance of quickly denying false rumors to prevent “lies from growing” and concluded: “I don’t like being tarnished as a person, as a woman.”

Ending the controversy

As proof of her truthfulness, Pampita sent images to Ángel de Brito showing she enjoyed her vacation in Punta del Este with her son Benicio, thus refuting any alternative version of her activities during that period. With this action, the model closed the chapter on this media controversy, making her firm stance clear regarding the unfounded accusations.
