Tech Home, March 10 — Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman published a blog post yesterday stating that on the hardware front, Apple is ready to release the new Apple TV 4K and HomePod. However, because these two products are deeply integrated with Apple’s AI features, and the development of the all-new Siri has been delayed, Apple has been forced to postpone their release dates.

According to the blog post, industry rumors about the new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini date back to 2024. Gurman previously stated multiple times in 2025 that Apple planned to launch these devices by the end of that year, but they ultimately did not meet the scheduled release.

At last week’s 2026 Apple Spring Event, while new products like the iPhone 17e and MacBook Neo were unveiled, these two smart home devices were still absent.

Gurman believes the main reason for the delay is the high level of integration between the new products and the “all-new AI features.” Apple initially planned to debut the new Siri powered by Apple Intelligence in iOS 26.4, but due to stability issues in the current version, that plan has been postponed.

Apple’s current goal is to officially launch all new Siri features alongside the iPhone 18 Pro (there were reports that the standard version would be delayed) and iOS 27 in September. However, some features may be tested earlier in the iOS 26.5 update before September.
