Abstract generation in progress

CPower, Bentaus, and Supermicro successfully demonstrated that GPU-based AI compute infrastructure can provide rapid and reliable demand response to wholesale power markets, cutting electricity use by up to 75% while maintaining AI workloads. This test, which saw GPU clusters respond in under 20 milliseconds to CAISO signals, highlights the potential for data centers to become active, flexible participants in the electric grid as AI power demand is projected to surge. The partners plan to expand this collaboration to other major U.S. power markets, including PJM, ERCOT, and SPP.
