Cryptocurrency leader Bitcoin dropped 3.3% on Sunday, with the trading price falling to around $68,150, the lowest level since early March.
Since the outbreak of the US-Israel-Iran war, Bitcoin has continued to decline by about 20%, once again testing the long-held view of cryptocurrencies as safe-haven assets during crises.

Analysts point out that Bitcoin is facing a string of misfortunes, also weighed down by a sell-off in stocks and other risk assets; rising energy prices are also putting pressure on the crypto industry by increasing mining costs.

Initially, investors had some hope that US legislation would ease regulations, but now the Trump administration is focused on the war with Iran, likely leaving little time for legislative progress, which has also put pressure on Bitcoin.
