Visa-free access for Russians extended to six months, Heilongjiang sees Russian tourist growth exceeding 60%

China’s visa exemption policy for Russia has been in effect for six months, and the policy benefits continue to be released. Currently, shopping and consumption, traditional Chinese medicine experiences, and business negotiations have become popular choices for Russian travelers entering Heilongjiang. Cross-border exchanges are becoming more routine and diverse. According to the Heilongjiang Border Inspection General Station, since the implementation of the visa exemption policy, as of March 16, a total of 232,000 Russian travelers have entered Heilongjiang through various ports, a year-on-year increase of 61.2%. At Heihe Port, reporters observed a continuous flow of Russian travelers at the entry channels. (CCTV News)
