Israeli Military Says Fighting Will Continue for Several More Weeks, Investigating Missile Interception Failures

On Saturday night, the southern Israeli town of Arad was attacked by Iranian missiles. Due to the failure of the air defense system to intercept two missiles, extensive damage occurred. An Israeli military spokesperson stated on Sunday that an investigation is underway to determine why the air defense system failed to intercept the Iranian missiles, and it is expected that fighting with Iran and Hezbollah will continue for several weeks.

In Arad, after dawn, multiple locations were seen to be severely damaged, with dozens of civilians injured. This is one of the most serious attacks on Israeli territory since the start of the conflict. The military spokesperson noted that Israel has intercepted over 90% of incoming missiles but admitted that the air defense system is not 100% effective.
