Ministry of Transport: Promoting Normative, Healthy, and Orderly Development of New Business Models Such as Digital Freight and Low-Altitude Logistics

People’s Finance News, March 20 — On March 20, Liu Wei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of the Ministry of Transport, presided over a departmental meeting. The meeting emphasized the need to accelerate the development of internationally competitive leading transportation and logistics enterprises and integrated logistics providers. Each enterprise should have tailored strategies, and a comprehensive evaluation system for enterprise development should be improved. The meeting called for deeper integration of transportation logistics with industrial development, focusing on large-scale industrial parks, to extend transportation logistics elements and services to manufacturing clusters, and to collaboratively enhance the safety and resilience of the industrial and supply chains. It also stressed the importance of cultivating and strengthening new productive forces, promoting the healthy and orderly development of new business models such as online freight and low-altitude logistics, and accelerating the application of artificial intelligence in transportation and logistics. Additionally, efforts should be made to continuously improve the international logistics supply chain system, expand diversified and resilient international transportation channels, and strengthen the capacity to ensure international logistics services.
