Poll Shows 55% of South Koreans Oppose Sending Warships to the Strait of Hormuz

A Gallup poll in South Korea shows that more than half of the respondents believe that South Korea should not send warships to the Strait of Hormuz in response to U.S. President Trump’s request.

30% of respondents think South Korea should send warships, while 15% are unsure or refused to answer.

53% of respondents expect international conflicts to increase next year.

Meanwhile, President Yoon Suk-yeol’s approval rating has risen to a record 67%, up from 66% last week; the disapproval rate has slightly increased from 24% to 25%.

The survey was conducted from March 17 to 19, with 1,004 respondents nationwide, and a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points.
