I looked at the numbers from $VPR on Solana today. Interesting movement in the 24-hour window:

Buy volume is around $9,234, while sell volume has only reached about $5,438. The buy-sell ratio doesn't look bad at first glance.

However – and this is the key point – the liquidity is practically at zero. The market capitalization hovers around $14,849. With such thin liquidity, it can of course become very volatile quickly.

For everyone dealing with smaller Solana tokens: such numbers do show short-term interest, but without proper liquidity, it quickly turns into a roller coaster ride. Definitely keep this in mind before jumping in.

Zero liquidity is a trap; no matter how attractive the buy volume is, it's all useless.

Having zero liquidity is a serious flaw; no matter how attractive the buy-sell ratio is, it's useless.

A coin with zero liquidity is just a paper tiger even if the buy-sell ratio is good. One big whale selling off and you're done for.

Liquidity approaching zero? No matter how attractive the buy-sell ratio looks, it's just a paper figure. A single large order can crash the price to the Earth's core.
