Ethereum Spot ETF movement: The market foundation of billions of dollars remains solid
U.S. spot Ethereum physical ETFs showed outflows pressure in mid-February. According to SoSoValue statistics, on February 11th, a single trading day, net outflows reached $129 million, highlighting that even amid broader market adjustments, selling pressure on ETF-related products continues. Even these financial products, with assets under management (AUM) of billions of dollars, cannot avoid short-term volatility, but looking at long-term cumulative inflows, the demand base from institutional investors remains solid.
Major Asset Managers’ Redemption Trends Led by Fidelity
Fidelity’s spot Ethereum ETF, FETH, experienced redemptions of $67.1 million on February 11th, marking the largest single-day outflow. Despite short-term selling stress, FETH’s cumulative net inflow exceeds $2.52 billion, indicating that there is stable long-term allocation demand reflected in the numbers.
Meanwhile, BlackRock’s Ethereum spot ETF, ETHA, recorded outflows of $29.4 million on the same day, making it the second-largest outflow. ETHA has accumulated over $12.02 billion in net inflows and currently holds the largest assets under management in the spot Ethereum ETF market.
Billion-Dollar ETF Market Maintains Strategic Positions
The total net asset value of U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs is currently $11.27 billion, accounting for approximately 4.78% of Ethereum’s total circulating market cap of $238.23 billion. This suggests that institutional investors’ allocation demand for Ethereum has reached a certain level, demonstrating resilience that does not fluctuate with isolated outflow news.
The total cumulative net inflow of all spot Ethereum ETFs has reached $11.75 billion, and despite recent redemption rounds, the basic inflow trend remains intact. While short-term price adjustments may lead to outflows, the ETF market, which has grown to a billion-dollar scale, continues to serve as an important liquidity source within the Ethereum ecosystem, reflecting substantial value recognition by institutional investors.
