Jin10 reported on April 6 that billionaire investor Bill Ackman, founder of Pershing Square Capital Management, is considering the possibility that Trump may suspend the implementation of his controversial tariff proposal on April 7. “What people might be thinking is that President Trump’s phone has been ringing off the hook (before the tariffs take effect). The reality is that he does not have enough time to reach an agreement before the tariff plan goes into effect. Therefore, I would not be surprised if Trump announces on Monday morning that he is postponing the implementation of the tariffs to allow time to reach an agreement.”
