Media exposure of internal Israeli military documents: lost all international credibility.

GateNews

On September 1, Jin10 reported that, according to a report from Israel’s Channel 12 on the evening of August 31, an internal document from the Israel Defense Forces showed that the military operation in the Gaza Strip, code-named “Operation Gideon,” failed to achieve its objectives and seriously deviated from Israel’s own principles of warfare. Although IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi publicly claimed that the operation was successful, the document bluntly stated, “We failed.” It noted that “Israel made all possible mistakes in this war, violating its own principles of warfare.” According to the document, Israel lacked a time dimension and resource management during the war, leading to exhausted troops and a loss of all international credibility. The document indicated that key operational objectives of the IDF were not met: Hamas was neither militarily defeated nor politically dismantled; those captured by Israel were neither released through agreements nor rescued during the operation.
